These are further examples where the fragments - where there is less dilution of movement and more compelling negative space - result in stronger images.

A common anti-pattern is taking a wide shot to two very different shapes that together to not have a very compelling composition when combined in that way. I would guess that most found shapes are going to fall within that pattern.

Paths to improvement involve:

- Using different aspect ratios in camera when dealing with weak compositions, despite interesting detail and juxtapositions.

A lot of the compact points of contact do alright with the negative space when the image is square.

- Recognizing mid-level compositions - let’s call it ‘active, yet weak’. These are basically cases where there is exceptional activity or diversity, but some of the core fundamentals are lacking. The most common issues: no strong movement, too much redundancy (e.g. same color or shapes), random differences with not interesting juxtapositions, weak negative space.
